Production Jewelry

These zipper pieces are done by Kate Cusac and portray undulating curves and circular forms that activate positive and negative space.

Check out Margaux Lange's blog. She is a studio art jeweler who has been producing a nastalgic jewelry line inspired by barbie. She uses sterling silver, found objects (barbie parts) and resins.

  1. Barbie's jewelry is pretty creepy- so is Barbie, and most dolls actually! I love the Cusac pieces. The artist did a great job manipulating zippers to look organic, beautiful and unexpected. Great find!

  3. From a far the zipper necklace looks like something from the sea. The shinny use of the teeth on the outside rim makes it seam as if there was class inside the middle. Good choice and the design is something we see all the time but in a unusual way!!!

  5. Those zipper necklaces by Kate Cusac are amazing. I love the form and negative space. Although they do look like they would be heavy.
